We’re excited to announce the GGE WPT Weekly League sponsored by Bodog. This series will be 4 buyin events on 4 consecutive Sundays.
WARMUP Event Information
As a warm up to the GGE WPT 4 Event League Series (see more details below)- We are also proud to announce a Bodog Poker Open V (BPO V) Satellite Event for Saturday, September 18th, 2010 5pm EDT. The buyin is $5.00 + $.50. TWO BPO V Championship Main Event seats will be added to the prizepool (each worth $500!) PLUS 1 extra seat added per every 100 players.
*Please note* This is a warm up event, and NOT part of the GGE Bodog WPT League 4 Event series – and will not be scored or part of the Overall League. For more details about the Bodog Poker Open V Events, see below.
GGE WPT Weekly League Information
The schedule for these events are:
1st Event - Sunday, September 19th, 2010 5pm EDT $5.00 + $.50 Buyin with $500 Money Added to the Player Prizepool.
2nd Event – Sunday, September 26th, 2010 5pm EDT $5.00 + $.50 Buyin with $500 Money Added to the Player Prizepool.
3rd Event - Sunday, October 3rd, 2010 5pm EDT $5.00 + $.50 Buyin with $500 Money Added to the Player Prizepool.
4th Event - Sunday, October 10th, 2010 5pm EDT $5.00 + $.50 Buyin with $500 Money Added to the Player Prizepool.
The top 30 players in each tournament will be scored, then the sum of the player’s top 3 scores will count towards the Overall League Winner.
The top prize consists of a $2,500 WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic megasatellite buyin ($1,000 + $80) for December 2nd, 2010 12pm plus $1420 for travel to Las Vegas as well as lodging while in Las Vegas.
If the Overall League Winner is tagged to a BODOG affiliate, $500 will be awarded to that affiliate in the form of $250 in the winning affiliates account, and a $250 money added private buy-in tournament.
About BODOG Poker Open V (BPO V) Series:
The BPO V series will run from September 26th to October 3rd 2010, with satellites running from September 1st 2010 through the series. The Open will consist of two series– the low stakes Contender Series and the high stakes Championship Series. Both series will feature 7 events and a Main Event.
The Contender Series events will award seats to the Championship Main Event for first place finishers along with guaranteed prize pools on each event. The Championship Series will feature added money and guarantees on events, a large $200,000 guaranteed prize pool for the Main Event, as well as an added prize for the Championship Main Event winner valued at approximately $5,000 (actual prize TBD).
BPO V is split into two series — The first is the Championship Series, which is comprised of 8 events, 7 tournaments and 1 Championship Main Event, with buy-ins ranging from $30 + $3 to the $470+30 championship event. The series begins on Sunday, September 26th, and runs until the following Sunday, October 3rd.
The second tournament series is the Contender Series. This has buy-ins starting as low as $5 + $1 and culminating in the Contender Main Event for $46 + $4. The Contender Series is comprised of 8 events, and runs over the same time period, September 26th – October 3rd.
